Updates on Anna and Elsa, what’s going on with Tink and Friends and Character Palooza

What’s Anna and Elsa’s schedule?

As of today, February 23, Anna and Elsa move back to another 9:00 am start time.  It’s been rather confusing with them switching the schedule back and forth each week, but they are supposed to continue with the 9:00 am opening for the foreseeable future and hope to expand from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm soon.  I recommend arriving at Epcot one hour before park opening and making a run to their location.  Get a Fastpass+ for either Test Track or Soarin’ and riding the other late at night.  If you are willing to split your party, you could FP+ Soarin and do Test Track as Single Rider. Rosetta to replace Periwinkle at Tinker Bell’s Nook in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom

On February 4, 2014 Rosetta will replace Periwinkle at Tinker Bell’s Magical Nook in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom.  Periwinkle will not return for meet and greets after the switch.

In the long term, the Magic Kingdom is still planning to move Tinker Bell to Town Square Theater, but they are still working on the interior of the building to make it appropriate for Tinker Bell.  Once Tink moves into Town Square Theater, she will be the only pixie at the meet and greet and the temporary kiosk for Fastpass+ will be relocated elsewhere.

No date has been announced at this time for the relocation.

I’ve already updated the Character Locator app to reflect this change.

Tinker Bell to relocate to Magic Kingdom’s Town Square Theater

Tinker Bell will soon be leaving Tinker Bell’s Magical Nook in Adventureland and relocating to Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom.  When she makes this move, it’s been said that she will no longer have her pixie friends joining her.  She will meet alone.  It is supposed to become a Fastpass+ meet and greet enabled area.   No firm date has been announced.

The wait times to meet her should drop, but we will no longer have the opportunity to meet Periwinkle, Terance, Rosetta, Vidia, Silvermist  and the rest of the Disney Fairies.

What do you think?  Would you prefer to wait longer and have more pixies or have a shorter wait and Fastpass+ for Tinker Bell?

Periwinkle to cause other fairies to move to random meets

With Periwinkle’s debut beginning this coming Sunday, Sept. 9 at the Magic Kingdom, fairies other than Tinker Bell will move to random status.  This basically means that Vidia, Rosetta etc… will not appear as often in Tink’s Nook.

Periwinkle’s first public image released

The Disney Parks blog released the first public image of Periwinkle along with Tinker Bell in her new winter costume today.

As expected Tinker Bell’s Magical Nook will experience a new overlay to accommodate the fairies.  The blog stated mid-september, but it should begin Sept 9 as i previously told you.

Merida, Tangled, Fairies and Sorcerers oh my

UPDATE:  Merida is definitley going to be meeting in the Magic Kingdom, not Hollywood Studios as rumored, begining in Mid-May  More rumor wrangling for you on this beautiful 70 degree February day!

Merida – Merida will supposedly meet in Hollyood Studios.  She will be Pixar’s first face character and has already had several girls for test fittings.  She is said to begin meeting in the old Narnia area beginning in May.  Her three triplet brothers Harris, Hubert, and Hamish are said to appear in puppet form to entertain guests as they wait to meet Merida. Some reports have them meeting with Merida, but queue enterainment seems more likely.   They will be using puppeteers from Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Disney Jr. to accomodate this Meet.

Tangled – The former Skyway station location in Fantasyland is being remade into not only new restrooms, but also a new Tangled themed area.   Belle will move into Beast’s castle for Storytime with Belle and meet and greet and Ariel will relocate to her new area near in the new ride.  That leaves Aurora, Cinderella and Snow White to move into the new Fairytale Hall Princess meet area to be built in the current Snow White’s Scary Adventures area that will be removed soon.  That would also open additional indoor space in Town Square theater and the Adventureland Verandah would be open for another character or left empty.

Fairies – For the second year in a row, the Fairies will have an area avaiable for meet and greets during the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot.  The festival will take place from March 7 to May 20th.  Their meet area is said to be nearer to Test Track this year.

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom – The new interactive experience that takes place all over the Magic Kingdom has now gone live daily for extended testing.  There are 20 different villains that one will be able to defeat using spell cards.  Each area will offer 5 different villains and 3 skill levels.  When you sign up at the old Firehouse in Town Square, you’ll be given one key card and 5 spell cards.  There are 70 spell cards in all to collect and use.  Combining more than one spell will create a special and unique spell.  Sorcerers is said to contain over 95 minutes of new animated sequences featuring many rare characters like Mr. Toad.  The new game will officially offer full operation beginning February 21.  This game is sure to be a hit with older kids and tweens!

Winnie the Pooh & Tigger have now officially moved back into the Toy Shoppe in the the UK Pavillion in Epcot.  I’m updating their schedule later today!
