We purchased the Universal Photo Connect pass for Annual Passholders, which allows us to have unlimited photo access to the major meet and greets and on-ride photos at Universal Orlando recently. Â As a part of this package, we get unlimited downloads for some of the some meets like Spider-Man at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Â When one usually takes this photo on their own, they are presented with just a green screen background which is kind of boring, unless you have photoshop skills.
We met Minion Bob right after experiencing Minion Mayhem at Universal Studios Florida on February 21, 2014. Â There’s a little dance room immediately after the ride and the characters sometimes stop to pose with families. Â They usually aren’t out the first or last hour of the day.
We had the opportunity to meet the great Greek demi-god Hercules at Epcot’s Imagination Pavilion today. Â He only appeared for one day only in preparation for an upcoming event. Â Some were saying it’s a Cast Member event, while other hoped it would be for the upcoming Marathon. Â I’m not positive, I just know you shouldn’t expect to find him at Epcot again any time soon.
After visiting Mary Poppins on this cold day, I decided to drop in for a meet and greet with Alice in Wonderland. Â Alice was very chatty and we had a pleasant visit with her.
I was hoping with the weather in the upper 30’s and low 40’s today that I might get a chance to say hello to Mary Poppins in her nanny costume, but she was wearing the winter version of the Jolly Holiday costume instead. Â I still had a lovely meet and greet with the graceful lady after the wind blew us in the same direction.

I absolutely love meeting the Tremaine family in the Magic Kingdom. Â They are one of the most fun meet and greets in all of Walt Disney World and only meet for a short time in the mornings near the new wall. Â Each character was wearing their winter version of their costume. Â When it was almost our turn, Drizella felt a little neglected, so she posed for a couple of candid shots for me. Â Anastasia wouldn’t have it that way and wanted a candid shot of her own. Â I believe my brother was negotiating the terms for his sons to marry the girls with Lady Tremaine while all the havoc ensued.
My kids are out of school on January 17th and I’m off work, so let’s go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Â You’ve heard me say many times that effective park touring begins with arriving at least 30 minutes before park opening (45 minutes or more during the busy seasons). Â Here’s the line as we walked up at 8:32 am. And here’s the line at 8:45 am. Â The park opened about 8:45 and the line was already beyond the ticket booths. Â Why would that matter? Â The new Mickey Touchpoints move people through much faster than previously. Â Well, it’s because we want to be among the first to go straight to Toy Story Midway Mania for a short wait. I’ve been so busy with family and blog stuff that I haven’t had a chance to complete my Christmas Week character set. Â On Christmas Eve morning, my daughters and I traveled over to the Old Key West Resort to see who we would find and it was none other than Santa Mickey! Â This year he even added a beard for us too.
