Well, it only took me a month to finally begin to catch up on some of the photos I took way back in December. I still have several more Christmas resorts meets to post too. Hey, it’s still really cold outside and many states including Alabama are receiving snow. I thought I’d post the photos that I took at Akershus back last month. Many character fans will enjoy the photos of Belle in her red Christmas dress and Ariel in her sea foam green dress.
We had the opportunity to be among the first families to meet Doc McStuffins at her new home at Hollywood and Vine today at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We made an 8:00am breakfast reservation in order to meet her today. We had a great time meeting Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, Handy Manny and Jake. The entire experience took about one and a half hours. We were waiting on Doc to make her way over to us. The meal appeared MUCH more popular than it was when Secret Agent Oso and June met there.
I personally think this is a great mixture of characters. There’s two male and two female characters and many little boys like Doc McStuffins. The characters are willing to spend as much time with your family as you’d like to interact and Doc was uber popular, so don’t expect to run in, consume some egg dish and run out in 30 minutes. I think one to one and a half hours is reasonable for this and any character rotation meal.
We began with meeting Handy Manny. Not a lot to say. The guy loves tools, so he and I have a lot in common. We’ve seen him a number of times in the past when he offered the in park meet and greet. I need to get one of those pencils though.
As I previously reported on December 2, 2013, Doc McStuffins will be coming Hollywood and Vine character breakfast and lunch at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.
In addition, Sofia the First will also be added to these same character meals and will be joining Handy Manny and Jake. They will also offer a new musical performance time. Jake and Sofia the First offer regularly scheduled meets inside the park that don’t require a meal reservation, but Doc McStuffins and Handy Manny does not and will not offer a regular in park meet and greet outside of the restaurant for the foreseeable future. Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First will take the places of Agent Oso and June who will no longer offer meet and greets once the change takes effect.
Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First are scheduled to begin at Hollywood and Vine on January 26, 2014. I booked my reservation for Hollywood and Vine for 8:05 a.m. so my family can be one of the first to meet her! You can book your reservation for Hollywood and Vine, but be sure it’s for BREAKFAST or LUNCH. Each meal is served as a buffet.
Are you excited to finally get to meet Doc McStuffins?
Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage is one of the few character based experiences in which my family and I had never taken part. I was curious to learn about the actual experience and I was travelling alone, so it wouldn’t cost me as much as sailing with the family. However, sailing alone with a giant pointing hand on your shirt makes parents think you may be stalking or something. The night I sailed, we were asked to meet in the Convention Center attached to the Contemporary Resort. I just stopped by the front desk and asked where the meeting location would be. When you find your destination you’ll see this sign. Continue reading All you need to know about the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage in Walt Disney World→
During our December trip to Walt Disney World, my daughter and I decided to check out Chip n Dale’s Campfire Sing-a-long for the first time. We had planned to head over there last Christmas, but just didn’t make the time. We’ve met Chip n Dale like 1.4 million times, but we enjoy our meets with the chipmunks because they are hilarious. It’s just that Fort Wilderness is SO DIFFICULT to get around. We drove our car to Fort Wilderness Continue reading Chip n Dale’s Campfire Sing-a-long→
