Big Hero 6 characters coming to Walt Disney World this fall

Hiro Hamada and Baymax coming to Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios this fall.

Disney officially confirmed  a rumor that I posted on June 30, 2014 when I heard that Oswald wouldn’t be coming to Hollywood Studios. The space currently filled by Wreck-it Ralph and Vanellope inside the Animation area will become a meet and greet for Hiro Hamada and Baymax from the upcoming movie Big Hero 6.

The movie opens November 7, so I would expect their meet and greet to begin shortly before the movie opens.  It seems likely that Hiro could be played by a face character, because Disney is casting a face character for Hiro.  I’d like to see Baymax in his hero form.

“Big Hero 6 is an action-filled adventure with comedic moments that tells the story of Hiro Hamada who is a robotics prodigy living in a fictional city known as San Fransokyo who invents a robot named Baymax.  He has to turn his invention into a super hero who helps fight crime with the help of Wasabi, Honey Lemon, GoGo Tomago and Fred.

What do you think about Hiro and Baymax replacing Ralph and Vanellope at Hollywood Studios?

  1. My daughter was looking forward to meeting Ralph & vanellope we will be there Oct 23, I gotta stop telling her who will be there in case it changes. Not keen on this new character maybe will be if see the film first.

  2. I check the Disney audition website often, and found something interesting pertaining to this: they are currently seeking Hiro Hamada “look-a likes”, with an audition date of August 24th. Hiro is, without a doubt, going to be a face character at the Parks going off of that info.
