Princess Fairytale Hall: How to meet the Princesses with no confusion

Princess Fairytale Hall is the new location for 4 of Disney’s most popular Princesses. You’re guaranteed to meet either Cinderella in one queue line with a visiting Princess or Rapunzel in another queue line with a guest Princess. You’ll find that almost all the time it will be Cinderella with Aurora/Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel with Snow White.  “Legacy” or paper Fastpass (we’ll get there) and Fastpass+ are available to meet each Princesss group.

Location:  Former Snow White’s Scary Adventures building right behind the Castle on your right as you pass through the Castle

Best time to go:  Rope drop, fireworks or immediately after fireworks or use a type of Fastpass.

Should I use FASTPASS?  I recommend waiting in one standard queue to experience the large artwork and Cinderella’s slipper and use some type for Fastpass for the other.  I would go there at rope drop one day or during fireworks to experience the regular stand by queue.

Who has the longest wait?:  Ususally Rapunzel, but in the early morning everyone heads to Rapunzel, then switches queues to Cinderella.  (We used Legacy FP for Cinderella and found that to be a better solution.

How’s the lighting?  It’s really beautiful and regal inside the new meet and greet area.  It’s much better than the old flat backdrops, but the lighting is difficult on inexpensive cameras.  I recommend using a fill flash if you don’t get a good photo.  Don’t leave without inspecting your photo!  All these photos were taken with a pocket Sony RX 100, which is a high-end hand-held camera.

Okay, this part is BACKWARDS from the front of the attraction for some reason. CINDERELLA Faspass is the LEFT machine. Rapunzel is the RIGHT machine. It could change after Disney reads this, so be sure to check. There is NO Fastpass return time posted! You'll need to ask the Cast Member or do like I did and ask the man in front of you who was sent to retrieve FP while the family waited in one of the lines :)

The first time I used a Fastpass here for Cinderella, they never even asked to see them :) I gave it to my daughter to put in her book. The second time they checked them and took them at the second point as usual.

The regular queue line

This is experience is SOOOO different than the old theater style ginormous queue line.  It’s very cozy, very regal, very dark and very loud.  Because it’s small and mostly stone, the sound magnifies.  I couldn’t handle 30 minutes with the noise level personally.

There's lots of banners like this in the extended queue before you enter the photo hall.

The photo hall has several beautiful pieces of art for some of Disney's most popular Princesses. They were actually drawn by the artist that creates the children's Golden Books. Jasmine will only appear here VERY rarely. She STILL meets in Agrabah/Morocco. If you see a CROWN on the photo outside, you might meet a less common princess.

After meeting Rapunzel and Snow White, we chose to ride Peter Pan with no wait and get a Fastpass to meet Cinderella later.  We did it’s a small world, Haunted Mansion and Philharmagic in the time we waited for the Fastpass to be active.

The Fastpass return line is really boring.  It’s just walls and banners, so be sure to wait in one standy by line!!!

The benefit of the Fastpass experience is a really short wait. I went on a party day that was really quiet and the lines reached 75 minutes for Rapunzel and 50 minutes for Cinderella.

After the short wait we met the Rock Star Cinderella and her roadie Aurora.

  1. How does Princess Fairytale Hall work around and during the time of the fireworks? I understand that is VERY close to where they are lit off, and remember they were keeping people away from the area the last time I was there

  2. Thanks! May I know if there are any other references to Disney films? Also, are there chances to meet all The Royal Couples (including Shang&Mulan, Pocahontas and John Smith) at any time of the year atvall?

  3. May I know on the stained glass window, there is a female mouse with a needle. Is that Suzy? I know many products call her Suzy and people identify her as the one who goes “Hey! We can do it!” and wears a yellow dress. However, in the parks Suzy dresses in green.

  4. I must say that the woman playing Aurora in this is really pretty..no offensive to the other players but most look much older :/
Also I find Cindy’s tan lines quite funny..must have been hilarious to see her a few days prior sunburned. Prince charming should buy her some sunscreen 😉

  5. My question: When you wait in line at MNSSHP for the princesses and princes. do you wait in the regular queue (with the pictures and glass slipper)? I’d like to see it, but I’d also like to use FPs. Thanks for all of the info!

  6. My friend took my daughter this weekend to check it out and were some what disappointed. They used FP+ for both sides and when they go in there, Aurora was missing. No other princess was there to meet either. The sign outside said Aurora was there but she wasn’t. I am surprised that RIGHT AFTER it opened they were already leaving an area empty. I understand they need to go on breaks and such but that should have been explained before waiting in line or another princess could have been in visiting. I wasn’t there myself so my friend had to deal with my very upset little girl who had been looking forward to meeting the princesses listed outside. Hopefully this isn’t something that will happen often.

Otherwise she said it was a beautiful area, and very nicely done.

Thank you for all the research you do!!

  7. Any idea if you can still get this fastpass along with another (say for splash mountain) at the same time as you have been able to in the past?

  8. Thank you for the details! You mention a crown outside will indicate a less common princess. Which sign exactly will the crown be on? Will they NOT have the head shot of the less common princess?
I’m also curious as to when they’ll have their princes join them.
Will Belle or Ariel ever make appearances?
    Thanks!

  9. Just to verify when you say “If you see a CROWN on the photo outside, you might meet a less common princess.” Do you believe there won’t be a picture of a second Princess? It will just be a crown?

Just went to see the Fairytale Hall this morning! It was great and exciting to see what they did with it! I bought my three year old niece with me! She loved being able to see Cinderella’s glass slipper and insisted she needed to bring it and give it back to Cinderella! I was disappointed that the tables between the two Princesses on both lines had Snow White’s story opened. Do you know why that is? I wish they would have done two different table tops.

  10. Hi Kenny,
Thanks for all the info. I have a fastpass+ booked between 6pm and 7pm for Rapunzel on a MNSSHP night. We have tickets to the party and we were hoping to use our fastpass as close to 7pm as possible so that we could meet with the princes as well. Do you think this would be allowed?

  11. Thanks Kenny! How easy will it be not to meet Rapunzel? We are happy to wait in line for Snow White? But will it be easy to keep going and skip Rapunzel?

  12. Very nicely themed but I cant help but feel that at the old m&g you got more bang for your buck (one line for 3 princess vs the situation now). I wish they would add another princess per line. Maybe on one side Mulan and on the other… i don’t know. I know Pocahontas doesn’t fit the theme and all the others have their designated areas (plus Sofia isn’t a face character) but I feel like you should be able to meet all 11(?) princesses in one park if you wanted to.
